Join in this informal conversation about the practice of Centering Prayer and its facilitation of living contemplatively. Whether you’re a new or seasoned practitioner, we’ll learn from one another as we share our experiences of Centering Prayer and questions that come from those experiences. For instance: “How can a practice that is supposed to be so simple, seem so hard?” “Why don’t I seem to be getting anywhere with this prayer?” “Aren’t all types of meditation the same?” “Is it really necessary to do two periods of Centering a day?”

Myths and misunderstandings about contemplation in general and Centering Prayer, specifically, abound. The morning will include two periods of Centering Prayer and refreshments. Facilitated by Kathy Reardon, spiritual director and commissioned teacher of Centering Prayer.
